  • Brent Powell, Founder & Executive Director

    A career educator and nonprofit leader, Brent has taught in New York, Baltimore, Switzerland, and New Hampshire. He brings expertise in project and problem-based learning, and participated with his high school students in the first Community Changemaker Challenge, held at the University of New Hampshire in 2016.

  • Lindley Shutz, Board President

    Lindley has been a teacher, administrator, and leader at the Derryfield School in Manchester, New Hampshire since 2005. While there she led the development of a new academic vision and daily schedule designed to enhance the learning of 21st century skills. She brings expertise in professional development and teacher training.

  • Lee Schroeder, Board Vice President

    As Executive Vice President of Altice USA in New York City, Lee’s focus has been on leadership development, government relations, and community affairs. She brings deep knowledge of effective collaboration and team-building with a focus on workforce development, and works on improving broadband access for residents of northern New England.

  • Brian Brady, Board Member

    Brian is the founder and CEO of Inciting Incident LLC, a game design firm located in Manchester, N.H. He believes passionately in education and opportunity, working to develop and expand New Hampshire's technology footprint. His expertise has been invaluable on nonprofit boards and with early stage start-ups, bringing innovation experience and a deep understanding of the latest trends.

  • Susan Grodman, Board Member

    Much of Susan's career focused on educating, coaching, team building,and leading, most recently at The Derryfield School, where she was the Associate Head of School before retiring. Dedicated to global education, community engagement, and education equity, Susan also has many years of direct service and nonprofit board experience in the Manchester area, and more recently, on the Seacoast.

  • Tom Irwin, Board Member

    Tom is a Vice President at Conservation Law Foundation, where he directs CLF’s New Hampshire Advocacy Center. An attorney, Tom manages an advocacy team working on issues ranging from climate change to environmental justice to water pollution. He has deep expertise in the nonprofit sector and fundraising and has served on several nonprofit boards and public committees.

  • Matt Long, Board Member

    A recent graduate of Duke University, Matt has worked at Breakthrough Manchester and ARMI | BioFabUSA, where he helped teachers and students implement a curriculum-based STEM design competition. He has worked at Spark Academy, a charter school in Manchester, NH, and currently serves as ELO Coordinator at Winnacunnet High School.
